The Department of Posts has released the official notification for the Inspector Posts LDCE 2025. The Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) will be conducted on 29th & 30th November 2025 to fill 817 vacancies under the 66.66% departmental quota. Eligible departmental candidates can apply online from 3rd October 2025 to 17th October 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• Postal Assistants, Sorting Assistants, Postmasters (Grade I & II), Stenographers, LSG, HSG-II, etc. with 8 years of regular qualifying service.
• Age limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 1st January 2025.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

1. Visit the Department of Posts application portal (link in notification).
2. Register with employee ID and details.
3. Fill out the online form and upload required documents.
4. Submit before the last date (17 Oct 2025).
5. Download confirmation slip for records.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The exam will be held in OMR + descriptive format. Paper-II can be answered in English or Hindi only. The detailed syllabus was issued vide DoP letter dated 22.08.2025 (Annexure-III of the notification).
