DA Order for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) Released – 58% Dearness Allowance Effective from 1st July 2025

New Delhi, 10 October 2025: The Department of Posts has officially released the DA order for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), granting a 58% Dearness Allowance effective from 1st July 2025.

• Effective Date: 1st July 2025
• Revised DA Rate: 58%
• Applicable To: All Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS)
• Order Issued By: Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications
• Approval Authority: Competent Authority (IFA-CS(P) Diary No. 135/2025-26)

The order ensures that GDS employees will now receive Dearness Allowance at par with Central Government employees. The expenditure will be met from the sanctioned grant under the “Salaries” head of account.

The order was approved and signed by Shri Krishna Kumar Gupta, Assistant Director (Medical) and Link Officer to ADG (PAP).
