To promote <strong>financial discipline<\/strong> and <strong>responsible use of taxpayer money<\/strong>, this practice has now been ordered to be stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Does This Mean for CPSEs?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>No festival gifts:<\/strong> CPSEs are strictly instructed not to spend on gifts for Diwali, Holi, or any other festival.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compliance mandatory:<\/strong> Administrative Ministries and Departments are requested to ensure strict compliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Focus on economy:<\/strong> Resources should be used only for essential and productive purposes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Official Statement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIn the interest of economy and judicious utilization of public resources, it is imperative that such expenditure be discontinued. Accordingly, all the CPSEs are requested not to incur expenditure on gifts, etc. for any festival.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision marks an important step by the <strong>Government of India<\/strong> to ensure <strong>transparency, economy, and discipline<\/strong> in the financial functioning of CPSEs.
